VERSATILE MEAL PREP : Blanched Spinach & Bean Sprouts

I’m thrilled to finally share this video because this is what I eat almost EVERY DAY and I want to share MOST!

If you’re familiar with Korean cuisine, you may know that a classic Korean meal consists of a bowl of cooked rice and several small portions of side dishes. Yes, the small side dish is called banchan in Korean which is a signature ingredient for Korean cuisine.

The variation of banchan is enormously wide. To start with, I’ll share two of classic banchan today, blanched spinach and bean sprouts. The reason why I chose these first is that they are not only healthy and delicious but also very versatile.

In this video, I’ll show you how to cook and eat blanched spinach and bean sprouts in a traditional Korean way and save time in the kitchen by simply adding them to other dishes such as my version of quick pad thai and bibimbap.

From this video, I’ll keep sharing more banchan. I hope my dishes will give you some new ideas and broaden your food options.

Enjoy!
